Relays cancelled, but the Awards Party lives on!

We talked to Gary Day at Boyne Highlands on Tuesday: Their trails are gone. He could put a course together on the downhill area of a about 1K.  However, he is looking at 3-4 more days of 50 degree weather. And that may take out the remaining downhill area.  He will put something on for us, but would rather have something decent and a good turnout.

After a discussion with the Michigan Cup Committee, the teams decided it was in the best interests of everyone to cancel the Michigan Cup Relays.

The Michigan Cup Awards lunch banquet WILL start at noon at the Cross Country Ski Heaquarters as originally planned. The Headquarters will provide pulled pork. Please bring a dish to pass and whatever beverage you might desire.

At the banquet, we will award three Cups, two Overall Individual Winners Cups, Age Group Medals and Michigan Cup pins. Those who don't show or have them picked up can expect them in the mail.

Even though rain is predicted, Hanson HIlls Mtn Bike Trails are open and both HH and Bob's runnning trails are open if anyone wants a morning workout.

Finally, there will be a 10:00 am Michigan Cup bike ride around Higgins Lake, starting at the Headquarters. Ride and eat!
