White Pine Stampede has snow!

Here we go! Due to previous years' experience with the weather, I've held off talking about trail conditions, but it appears we can now count on what we have.

Yesterday morning Chief of Course, Bill Fleet proclaimed that, " 98% of the track is excellent, 2% presents an interesting challenge." There are those few thin spots but all is passable. So, all three distance events will run as scheduled and will be their full length, 10, 20, and 40kms.

Remember, Friday night check-in or registration is at Shanty Creek Resort, main lodge, from 4:00 to 9:00pm Electronic registration ends Thursday night. Last minute registration fees increase for both the 20km and 40km events on Friday.

Also remember, we do register skiers on Saturday morning beginning at 7:45 at Mancelona High School. Light fresh snow is falling! Conditions look excellent! Register now by phone at 231-587-8812.
