HINTERZARTEN, Germany (Jan. 29) – The U.S. had three athletes finish in the top 25 in the World Junior Cross Country Championship on Friday in the 10K/20K pursuit. Scott Patterson (Anchorage) was the sole male U.S. competitor to finish within the top 30 in 19th. Caitlin Patterson (Anchorage) was the first of two female American racers to land in the top 25 in 23rd.
The World Juniors will compete again on Sunday in the relay event. The Under 23 classification races the 15K/30K pursuit on Saturday.
