VIKERSUND, Norway (Dec. 13) - Sarah Hendrickson (Park City, UT) continued to lead the USA, finishing just off the podium in fourth Saturday and sixth Sunday in Vikersund, Norway. The finishes marked the 15-year-old's fourth straight top-ten finishes since the International Ski Federation's Continental Cup circuit opened its winter schedule last weekend.
In Saturday's competition, Daniela Iraschko of Austria picked up the win with jumps of 119.0 and 122.0 meters. Hendrickson jumped 106.5 an 109.5 to finish with 249.3 points to 270.8 for Iraschko. American Alissa Johnson (Park City, UT) was ninth.
Sunday, Hendrickson soared 106.0 and 100.0 meters to finish sixth as Iraschko took the win to sweep the weekend. Johnson was 11th.
Germany's Ulrike Graessler continues to lead the Continental Cup after four events over Iraschko, with Hendrickson in fifth.
The women's Continental Cup circuit now heads to Notodden, Norway for a pair of events next weekend.
