It may be 80 degrees outside but inside,the trails beckon. Olympic hopefuls and tourists alike can now take advantage of Germany's first cross-country ski trail, in the winter-sports mecca of Oberhof in eastern Germany. The indoor trail covers nearly two kilometers,and has hills that can reach a 12 degree grade.

An hour cross-country skiing at the DKB-HALLE costs 14 EUR (2 hours for $ 20). A day ticket costs 35 euros. Children under 5 years travel free, children under 12 years pay half price. Pupils, students and disabled also receive benefits. For families, there are family tickets. Skis can be rented locally.
