Champion Hill discontinues cross-country ski program

Champion Hill is announcing that we will be discontinuing our cross-country ski program. As much as we enjoyed it, we were not getting enough traffic to make it a viable business and with the current state of the economy, we anticipate, another loss year if we continue. We received many compliments from our daily fee customers on our grooming and trail system, however we were not getting enough customers through the door to make it a success.

Co-hosting the Michigan Cup Race with the Grand Rapids Nordic Ski team was one of the highlights of our ski program. We would like to thank the Grand Rapids Nordic Ski team and our small, loyal base of customers (especially our ski members) for supporting the program and their efforts to try and help make it a success.
