Birkie joins FIS Marathon Cup in 2010

The calendar for the FIS Marathon Cup (FMC) in the upcoming two seasons is now available. From 2009/2010 on, the König Ludwig Lauf in Germany will no longer be part of the FIS Marathon Cup series. Instead, the American Bikerbeiner will join the Cup in the season 2010, while in 2011 the traditional Finlandia Hiihto is part of the schedule.

The kick off event into the FMC season 2009/2010 will be La Sgambeda on 13th December in Livigno (ITA), followed by Jizerska Padesatka, Dolomitenlauf and Marcialonga in January. The Transjurassienne, Tartun Marathon and American Bikerbeiner will be the marathon highlights in February while the Vasaloppet, Engadiner Ski Marathon and the Bikerbeinerrennet conclude the season.
