TRAVERSE CITY -- Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation (TART) Trails, Inc. is hosting work bees on the Vasa Pathway and the Leelanau Trail next Saturday, October 15, 2005 from 9:00 am – noon.
Volunteers on the Vasa Pathway will be spreading wood chips, trimming trees, and preparing the trail for winter usage. Please bring work gloves, pitch forks, shovels, loppers, bow saws and dress appropriately for the weather.
Volunteers on the Leelanau Trail will be trimming trees, cutting back overgrowth, marking root damage and ensuring there are clear vision areas at intersections. Please bring work gloves, loppers, bow saws, trash bags and dress appropriately for the weather.
TART will provide refreshments for those who volunteer.
