Kenington / Island Lake connector open

The paved bike path connecting Kensington Metropark and Island Lake State Rec Area has reopened. You can again rollerski between the two parks. The connector was closed while the Grand River Rd bidge over the Huron River was replaced.

Kensington has an 8 mile paved loop; Island Lake has about 5 miles of trail (one-way) plus good roads for rollerskiing at the end of the bike path.

This project was originally scheduled to be finished last November - they ran a little late...
