Warm snow for White Pine

First, apologies for not getting this year's course map on the web-site. Despite the promise it was simply overlooked. A printed map of this years course will be provided in each registration bag with additionals available at the start, Mancelona High School.

Wouldn't ya know it! Weather conditions begin a change just a Stampede day arrives. Temperatures will climb just above freezing for Friday's highs and dropping only just below freezing at night. A chance of freezing drizzle will arrive overnight Friday and we may have light freezing drizzle Saturday morning.

Certainly, you should expect older snow that has been packed and groomed in an atmosphere of rising temps and quite high humidity. Highs on Saturday morning will reach the low to mid 30's, with increasing moisture levels all day. Wax conditions will be clearer, and discussed fully, at the Wax Clinic, Friday evening, in Parlour G at the Summit Center, Shanty Creek Resort, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
