Dear MI CUP Racers,

On behalf of the Grayling Recreation Authority, I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of an unfortunate scheduling conflict for this weekend’s MI-CUP sprint race.  The Archery Building that is normally used to host our Nordic Race registrations and awards will be used to host an Archery Tournament on Sunday.

Since becoming aware of this tournament I have faced a difficult decision of “WHAT TO DO?”.  So, in the interest of the Nordic Skiers, I have decided to Convert our newly built Storage Barn into a Banquet/Awards Area…  I am retro-fitting carpeted flooring, tables, chairs and heat into this 60x40 area. 

The Banquet/Awards area will be located right at the finish line of the sprints, offering participants easy access to clothing and equipment.  We do not have heated bathrooms however; participants will have access to the Main Lodge Bathroom Facilities.  There will be a Porta John on hand for those last second emergencies.  The Main Lodge Facilities will be available for all those parties interested in using it. 

This is a big Festival weekend for Hanson Hills, and I wanted to insure that the Nordic Racers have their own area to relax and socialize during the duration of the event.

Once again in the interest of all the Nordic Racers that plan on attending this weekend’s event, I wanted to inform you of this scheduling mishap, so that there were no surprises when it came to RACE DAY.
