Beginning skate clinic in Hayward

CXC and Outdoor Ventures will be co-hosting a cross-country ski clinic for beginners learning to skate. Accomplished CXC skiers and staff will help you learn the basics and get you on your way to enjoying this popular winter activity.
Cost for the lesson is $20 in advance or $25 on the day of the clinic. As an added bonus, all those pre-registering will receive a $20 coupon to be used toward the purchase of ski equipment at Outdoor Ventures. Proceeds from this event will go to CXC, powering their skiers down the path toward future Winter Olympics.
The clinic will be held on Sunday, December 28th, 2008 near the “OO” Birkie Trail Head warming cabin North of Hayward and East of Seeley, WI. Pre-registration forms will be available at Outdoor Ventures, 10579N Main Street Hayward, WI; telephone 715-634-4447. Late registration will be from 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm at the “OO” warming cabin with lessons running from 1 pm until 3 pm. Dress warmly, bring your equipment, wear a smile, and learn to be a better skier.
