CANMORE, Alta. — Chandra Crawford and Devon Kershaw count themselves lucky that they travel the world with the person they love.
Canada's cross-country ski couple live and train together in Canmore, Alta., with the mutual goals of being the fastest skiers in the world and winning a medal at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.
Crawford, an Olympic gold medallist in Turin, Italy in 2006, and Kershaw find ways to keep their job pressures separate from their home lives.
"I've got a great setup with my boyfriend and we're both hell-bent on international success and travelling the world together," Crawford said Friday at Canmore Nordic Centre.
"We manage to stay balanced by keeping our other interests alive, by just being out in the mountains and eating at our delicious eateries in Canmore. We love cooking and exploring and our families and our music and concerts. We went to a Neil Young concert last week and that was the highlight of Devon's life so far."
Crawford, 24, grew up in Canmore, while Kershaw, 25, is from Sudbury, Ont. They've been dating for six years and have lived together for a year.
