2005 Stokely Creek Nordic 15k Time Trial Results

The 2005 Stokely Creek Club Nordic 15k Time Trial was held on Saturday, February 26th. It had snowed for several days before and the course was freshly groomed for both skating and classic skiing. A very cold morning (–26°C) delayed the start from 10 am to 11am. The temperature was -12°C by the time the racers set off, challenged by a 15k course that included Heart Attack Hill and Jack Rabbit Pass before the final descent down Home Run Hill.
After their efforts the participants enjoyed a lunch of brats on a bun and vegetarian chili at the day skiers cabin. Awards and prizes were presented to the overall winners in the classic and skate categories for both men and women (1 day's stay at Stokely or Season Pass). In addition, hand crafted awards were presented to both men and women in decade age groups for classic and skate skiing. All competitors were entered in a raffle that included two pair of Rossignol graphite ski poles (Cross Country Ski Shop), 2 ski bags (Velotique), 2 waist packs, Stokely toques and a variety of ski brushes and waxes.
