Excitement is in the air as the second annual Charlevoix Ladies Tour is being planned for Sunday February 27, 2005. The new course will meander through the City Golf Course and through the beautiful woods of Mt. McSauba with, of course, gourmet tidbits, chocolate, fine wines and sweet treats awaiting skiers on the trail.
Charlevoix invites women of all ages to enjoy non-competitive skiing, snowshoe hiking, camaraderie, fine food, and chocolate while supporting the Bay Area Substance Education Services, and the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan.
To register for the event on line, go to www.womensskitour.com. Women are encouraged to register early to take advantage of the $35. entry fee prior to the day of the event. On line registration closes February 23, 2005. Registration the day of the event will be $50., and begins at 8:45 a.m. Skiers may start anytime between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. Course and food stations close at 1:30 sharp.

“A Winter’s Night at the Castle” is the preview event of the Charlevoix Ladies Tour. It will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Castle Farms from 2 p.m. until 11 p.m. Featured will be wine tasting presented by Northern Michigan vintners, cuisine by Grey Gables of Charlevoix, strolling musicians in the afternoon and music for dancing in the evening. Admission is $10. which includes a commemorative glass and two tastings. This event will also benefit the charities of the Ski Tour. If you are pre-registered or register at Castle Farms for the Ski Tour you may enter this event at no charge. Tickets may be reserved by calling 231-237-0884.
