
The calendar for the FIS Marathon Cup 2007/2008 has now officially been confirmed. The 9th edition of the Cup will include ten races, four in the free technique and six in the classical technique.

Jan 20,2008 - Dolomitenlauf (ITA, 60 km, free)
Jan 27, 2008 - Marcialonga (ITA, 70 km, classical)
Feb 3. 2008 - König-Ludwig-Lauf (GER, 50 km, classical)
Feb 10, 2008 - La Transjurassienne (FRA, 54/76 km, free)
Feb 17, 2008 - Tartu Marathon (EST, 63 km, classical)
Mar 2, 2008 - Vasaloppet (SWE, 90 km, classical)
Mar 9,2008 - Engadin Ski Marathon (SUI, 42 km, free)
Mar 16, 2008 - Birkebeinerrennet (NOR, 54 km, classical)
All but La Sgambeda are also Worldloppet races.
The FIS Marathon Cup aims to improve the status of long distance competitions by attracting elite racers and to increase media and spectator interest in long distance racing.
