Clinic Topics:
This is a Level 1 Biathlon Coaches’ Clinic. This clinic is also ideal for Masters’ Athletes who want a crash course in biathlon marksmanship. Topics covered will include:
1) Teaching Biathlon Rifle Safety
2) Basics of Shooting Technique- position, trigger control, breathing
3) Biathlon Range Procedure
4) Fitting rifles and optimizing shooting position
5) Dryfire and live fire drills for beginning biathletes
6) Basics of “combo” training
Presenters:
The clinic will be run by Bill Meyer- Minnesota Biathlon. He will be assisted by Piotr Bednarski, Director of Athlete Development, USBA, and Jacob Beste, Army National Guard Biathlon Coach.
Schedule and Location:

5pm-10pm (dinner will be provided- pizza)
Classroom Session: Teaching Biathlon Rifle Safety, Basics of shooting technique, Adjusting biathlon rifles for prone and standing position, Dryfire Drills and Range procedure
Registration, Fees, and What to Bring:
Rifles and ammo will be provided. All participants need to bring a pad/sleeping bag for prone shooting (to provide some padding for your elbows). Cost for printed materials and dinner $45, checks made out MN Biathlon (pay at the clinic).

Junior Athletes:
Athletes ages 15 and up are eligible to attend provided they are mature enough to focus during the technical parts of the clinic.
