May brings Free 'Get Your Nordic On' Clinics to Wisconson

Central Cross Country Ski Association is pleased to announce the early May series of free “Get Your Nordic On” Cross Country Ski clinics.

”Get Your Nordic On is one of the major CXC projects specifically directed to all Nordic skiers in the Central region. The clinics provide general basic education on ski technique and training methods. Last year CXC conducted 52 clinics across the region with over 1,000 participants”, commented Yuriy Gusev, CEO of CXC Skiing.

Igor Badamshin – CXC Skiing High Performance Advisor

Igor Badamshin skied on the Russian National Team from 1988 up through the World Championships in Thunder Bay in 1996. During his athlete years he skied at the front of the World Cup, World Championships and Olympic Winter Games. He is 10 times Russian National Champion. From 1996 to 2003 he was head coach of Team Dinamo, St.Petersburg, Russia. During those years his athletes earned top 10 finishes in all of the Olympics and World Championships and 34 World Cup podiums. He is currently coaching with his wife Nina Gavryluk, one of Russia's most celebrated women Cross Country skiers, at Gunstock Ski Club, Gilford, NH.
