CXC Ski Annual Spring Meeting, April 27-29

Date: April 27-29, 2007 Location: Cresthill Resort, Hayward, WI

Friday afternoon:

5.30pm - Arrival

6.30pm – Lakeside cookout-ongoing for later arrivals

7.30pm – CXC Skiing Presentation – What is CXC Skiing?

8.00pm - Round table discussions:

• CXC Ski Team/Junior Development Team;
  
• transportation & housing

Saturday:

8.00am – Organizational structure - update and effectiveness analysis

9:00am - Discussion of by-law amendments and seating of new officers

9.30am - CXC Masters Cup enhanced program:

• Strong marketing (Birch Scroll, Gear West & New Moon catalogs, Cross Country Skier magazine, section on the CXC web site, Birkie e- newsletter, Ski Post e-newsletter, others)
• CXC Master Representative
• Participants must be members of CXC at master’s rate of $35.00
• Overall winners, age adjusted winners, event series completion (master’s pin and passport)
• Coordinate and start with 3-5 major events in the region (Birkie, Seeley Hills Classic, Noquemenon, City of Lakes Loppet, Mora Vasaloppet)

10.30am – CXC Junior Development Team Presentation

11.30am – CXC Ski Team update

12.00pm – Lunch on own

12.30pm – Fund raising:

• Regional Urban (Twin Cities area, Madison area, Milwaukee area, Detroit area, Chicago area)
• Local (Hayward, Green Bay, Winona, Eau Claire, La Cross, Wausau, Marquette, Traverse City, Duluth, Grand Rapids/Coleraine, Ironwood/Houghton, Ohio, downstate Michigan, others)
• Events (Telemark SuperTour, Birkie, Fat Tire Festival, Firehouse 50, others)
• “Adopt the Athlete” Program

7.00pm – Dinner- restaurant TBD

Sunday:

8.00am - Group rollerski with CXC Ski Team

10.00am - Adjourn

Please note: The quarterly CXC business meeting will be held by conference call following the annual meeting at a date TBD.
