We are excited to welcome you back to Hanson Hills for the Cote Dame Marie Ski Loppet on Saturday, January 17th! Trail conditions are looking great, and we can’t wait to host another memorable race day with all of you.
We’ve partnered with Infinity Ski Poles, and we’ll be raffling off two full sets of poles before the start of the race—one male and one female participant will be selected. Be sure you’re present and ready at the start area!
This year we’re making a course adjustment that we think you’ll really enjoy. For the 22km racers, we are eliminating the ski hill climb at the start of Lap 2. Instead, the new racer cut will head out in the same direction as the ski hill, stay flat, and follow our Guyton Trail (normally used for hiking and snowshoeing) all the way out to the big climb before the Blue Trail begins. This creates a great stretch of skiing and a much more natural merge back into Lap 2.
After the race, be sure to head downtown, support our amazing local sponsors, and take advantage of racer-only specials. All participating businesses and deals will be listed in your racer packet.
Moving forward, we will no longer be providing new Cote Dame Marie race pint glasses. We will have a limited supply of past-year pint glasses available while supplies last. Every racer will still receive a custom finisher medal and a printed copy of your finishing results.
If you haven’t signed up yet, now’s the time—race day is next Saturday and conditions are shaping up beautifully.
Thanks for being part of the Cote Dame Marie tradition. We look forward to seeing you on the trails!
See you soon,
Justin Andre
