Reid was born and raised in northern Michigan and competed in Michigan Cup and Great Lakes division races. He skied for and graduated from Michigan Technological University in Houghton. Reid is a member of the BSF Nordic Pro Team based in Bozeman, Montana. The BSF Pro team is a development program designed to prepare athletes for international competitions, including the Olympics. Reid is one of very few Michigan skiers to advance to the professional Nordic ski racing circuit.
Reid finished 6th overall in the U.S. Ski and Snowboard SuperTour series last season. In February 2025, Reid served as a guide for visually impaired skier Jake Adicoff during the FIS Para-Cross Cross Country World Championships in Toblach Italy. They won the 10-kilometer classic interval start race and helped the American team take the silver medal in the mixed open relay race.
Reid and Jake plan to compete in the Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina
2026 in March.
Forbush Corner Nordic has organized this raffle fundraiser to engage the
Michigan skiing and cycling communities to support Reid and help him reach his
goals.
