The Michigan Cup Relays took place under sunny skies and with a bunch of happy skiers on March 9th, 2025. The XC Ski HQ trail crew was up all night moving snow onto the course to prepare for the race, and their hard work certainly paid off. The relays featured a brand new course, about 4.5km in length, and included sections of Tall Pines, Wild Turkey, Mackinaw Cut, Trapper’s Cabin, and Rolling Hills trails. Each skier completed one lap, and then handed off to their next teammate (each relay team consists of 3 legs: one classic, and two freestyle). The feedback on the course was so positive, we are likely to use it again in the future!
