Raffle Fundraiser for Reid Goble
Support this Michigan skier on his journey to the Olympics!
Reid Goble is a professional cross-country ski racer from northern Michigan. He is a member of the Bridger Ski Foundation PRO Team and is proud to be one of the few Michigan skiers to advance to the professional Nordic ski racing circuit. His goal is to compete on the international stage, including the F.I.S. World Cup and Winter Olympics.
Growing up in Michigan, Reid competed in youth, junior, regional and Michigan Cup series races. He skied for Michigan Technological University and competed in both the NCAA and U.S. National championships. He currently competes in the U.S. Ski & Snowboard SuperTour series, the highest level of competition in our country.
Last season Reid had many great accomplishments, finishing 12th overall in the SuperTour series; earning his first FIS World Cup start in Canmore, Alberta Canada; his second World Cup start in Minneapolis Minnesota; and winning the American Birkebeiner Classic Elite race in Cable Wisconsin.
Like most professional skiers that aspire to compete internationally, Reid is almost entirely self-funded and supports himself through a part-time job, donations and fundraisers while training over 700 hours per year as well as traveling to races.
No athlete becomes successful on their own, they require a dedicated network of coaches, teammates, and supporters. Forbush Corner Nordic has organized this fundraising raffle to engage the Michigan skiing and biking community to support Reid and help him reach his goals.
