Vasa Raptors win Baic Cup

The Baic Cup is a race series in the Michigan Cup consisting of Junior age skiers, 13-19, on each Michigan Cup team.
The Vasa Raptors, a part of the Vasa Ski Club, again handily won the 2024 Baic Cup. In the process, the Coach Ethan Goss of the Raptors placed four skiers on the Great Lakes District Junior National Team headed to Lake Placid, New York and two skiers on the Great Lakes District U18 Trip to Canadian Nationals. The Raptors also captured the Michigan High School Cross Country Ski Championships on the strength of Junior Nationals bound skiers, Liam Wierzba, Ella DeBruyn, Annie Paulson, Emma Dykstra, Emilia Garces, and Ava Zeratsky.
The Baic Cup is named for the Baic Family, most notably, Vojin and children, Nickola, Ivanka and Milan who have made immeasurable contributions to the development of Nordic skiing in Michigan and the Junior program.
