RESULTS: 2024 Muffin Race

This year's junior Muffin Race at the Cross Country Ski Headquarters featured a Team Sprint Freestyle Relay as done in the past few years. There were 2 skiers per relay team, each skiing 3 laps (6 laps per team). Laps were around 2km. There were male, female, and mixed teams.
There was also a “Mini Muffin” freestyle races (ages 12 and under) that started after the main event. Kids age 6 and under raced 0.5 km, ages 7-9 did 1.5km, and ages 10-12 skied 2.5km.
The snow was incredibly good. Nice and fast but not icy. It was a really nice day for it.
"Standing On Business" (Olin Kasperowicz Liam Wierzba), "BBN" (Zack Dunne Arabella MacLaughlan), and "Coach Ethan and His Bird" (Emma Dykstra Ella DeBruyn) were the top male, mixed, and female teams.
My favorite team names, however, were "How The Grinch Stole Winter" (Kinsey Hintz, Katie Clark) - very apropos considering all the cancelled races and lack of snow this season - and "The Blizzard of Oz" (Ana Sketch, Sylvia Coulter) - hopefully foretelling next season's snowfall!
