We have called uncle on any more trail additions at Forbush Corner for the upcoming season. We have increased Crybaby to 3.2 km from 2.6km with lots of new trail to enjoy. Next season we plan to add even more to this trail.
We were able to complete part of the Pines connector re-route to get it off of the shared seasonal roads with the snowmobiles. The connector will no longer be on Roberts road or go through Badlands, which created a lot of confusion. It will be a dedicated two way trail for the connector. There is one downhill with a tricky turn that we will need to assess this upcoming season to see how it skis, but other than that it is an intermediate trail. The new map for the pines connector is in the pictures, as are the new additions to Crybaby.
Save the date: We are planning to have our annual trail work weekend October 14-15. More details coming soon…
Above - First step: find and mark the new trails.
Second step, cut the tress knee high so the excavator can pull the stumps and clear the tops.
