The Brumbaugh Cup is scored like a cross country running race. Each team scores their top three women and top five men. The overall winner gets 1 point, second 2 points and so on down to the last scoring skier. Only scoring skiers count for the Brumbaugh Cup. If a team does not have 5 men or 3 women then they each receive one point more than the last scoring skier in each division. All races are scored throughout the season and the team with the lowest point total at the end of the year wins the Brumbaugh Cup.
