CANCELLED!!! Midwest Nordic Rendezvous

UPDATE Jan 6: We are cancelling all together MNR this year. It will not be happening at Forbush due to decreased number/interest and snow conditions, etc.
UPDATE Jan 5: Due to the lack of snow, warm temperatures, and Mother Nature’s agenda, the 7th annual Midwest Nordic Rendezvous (MNR) of 2023 will be moved to Forbush Corner Nordic Center. The Vasa Ski Club is committed to providing cross country ski instruction to our members and community despite current conditions. Unfortunately, Lindsey Dehlin will not be able to provide the ski instruction but we hope to host her next season in 2024. Please understand the Vasa Ski club worked closely with Hickory Hills as they have increased their snowmaking but the warm temperatures are not favorable.
Forbush Corner Nordic Center has graciously offered to host this event. They are located in Fredric, Mi, approximately 1 hour drive from Traverse City. It has excellent snowmaking that provides gentle terrain for 2km.
Due to the terrain and limited space:
- The Beginner Clinic will not be available at Forbush. Please stay tuned with a future date for Beginner ski instruction this season through the Vasa Ski Club.
- The Lindsey Dehlin coaches clinic will not be available and the She Ski Clinic registrants can attend one of the following clinics offered at Forbush.
All pre-registered skiers have the following choices:
- Attend an Intermediate or Advanced skate and classic clinics at Forbush Corner Nordic Center on January 8, 2023. See schedule below.
- Apply your registration toward next year’s 8th Annual MNR; January 6, 7 2024 (Lindsey Dehlin will be our guest instructor!)
- Donate your registration fee to the Vasa Ski Club.
We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding the changes that had to be made due to the weather.

The following is the itinerary for the MNR 2023 at Forbush Corner Nordic Center, Sunday, January 8, 2023 for Intermediate and Advanced skiers with Amy Powell as your ski instructor.
9:00am–1030am Advanced Classic
10:45am–12:15pm Intermediate Classic
12:30pm–1:45pm Advanced Skate
2:00pm–3:30pm Intermediate Skate
Day of registration is open but are responsible for a day pass at Forbush Corner.
