Volunteers need to host Detroit Public School kids at Huron Meadows

We have received official confirmation that Detroit Public Schools is bring out 7 groups of 50 kids to Huron Meadows Metropark to cross country ski and hike. 25 kids will ski and 25 will do a hike for 1 hour than switch groups. Buses leave Detroit at 8:30am and have to return by 2pm so I’m going with 9:30am-12:30pm for instructors.

We are looking for 3-4 people to act as ski guides for one of more of the following dates:

• Wed Jan 18
• Thu Jan 19
• Wed Jan 25
• Thu Jan 26
• Tues Jan 31
• Wed Feb 1
• Thu Feb 2

I will be at most classes and are planning on being the lead person so just some folks to help get skis on and guide the kids around Buck’s Run. I think this could be pretty cool that Team NordicSkiRacer (and other interested skiers) could have a impact on 300 intercity kids.
