Scraper Sharpeners

 

We actually make 3 scraper sharpeners, but these are the two ones that I would recommend. The Scraper Sharpener World Cup pictured on the right above is superb. It does a fantastic job - nothing does better. I highly recommend it. The Scraper Sharpener World Cup Pro pictured above on the left is kind of the perfect luxury gift for someone who already has all of the practical and important items. Wax Kits!

New Structurite Tool

The new Structurite Tool would be my highest recommendation but this is a big ticket item. We have not come out with a new hand structure tool for 15 years and we were due! This tool will consistently be the best performing structure tool out there. There is no mystery as these left and right screw structures have demonstrated that they are the best hand structures out there in a variety of snow conditions. All of our wax tips will feature this tool. It comes as a kit with everything in it or the tool and bits can be purchased separately. This is the one best thing that a person can take advantage of this year to ensure well performing skis in a variety of conditions.

Brushes

Everyone who hot waxes needs brushes! The #1 recommended brush is the Copper which would be used as the all-around/utility brush. The #2 would be Horsehair which is best for finishing cold waxes such as blue.

Toasty Thermo Mittens

I think most skiers who have Toasty Thermo Mittens readily say that they're their favorite. They're soft and plush like a sleeping bag and feel light on the hand while at the same time providing the warmth that so many crave. They also fit into a pole strap well.

Insulated Drink Belts

Every Nordic skier loves insulated drink belts. You can put warm drinks in there which stay warm so when you're out skiing it soothes your throat and keeps your core warm. They also don't freeze on cold days like water bottles do. The zippered compartment is great for storing phone, keys, wallet, or grip wax and cork. Natural Wax

Toko Natural Wax is a rapidly biodegradable hot wax, that is plant based, and for all snow types and conditions. It comes in two sizes, 40g and 120g.

Ski Vise Nordic and Ski Vise Nordic World Cup

The Ski Vise Nordic and the Ski Vise Nordic World Cup are superb vise options. They both fit a variety of different size and type of skis (kids vs adult and classic and skate). They are far more versatile in this respect than profiles. They are both quick and easy to set up and are easy to travel with. The disadvantage is that they don't offer 100% of the tip to tail support that a true profile vise does (although the Ski Vise Nordic World Cup comes close). Polar Race Glove - the Best Cold Weather Toko Glove Ever!

As the Toko glove designer since they were in existence, I can say with confidence that the Polar Race Glove is the nicest cold weather glove that I have never designed. It has dual density insulation. From the knuckles forward, it has plush very warm Windblocker fleece. From the knuckles back, the glove has Windblocker over Thinsulate. The palms are insulated with a stitched Primaloft insulation. The glove is extremely warm but still because of the dual density insulation fits very well into a pole strap.

Additionally the box finger construction and external seams make the glove more comfortable and encourage circulation as nothing is squeezing or pushing at your fingers.  Because I used the same cut as the other gloves and these gloves have more insulation in the fingers, I recommend sizing this glove up one size.
