Winter is the season of FUN at Cross Country Ski Headquarters!
At Cross Country Ski Headquarters, getting people on the snow and having fun is our number one priority. This winter, we’re adding some new and bringing back some favorite special events to amplify the fun. Plus, visitors will also have the chance to learn and improve their XC ski technique at various learn-to-ski clinics, with options for everyone from raw beginners to experts. Finally, ongoing artisan food specials at the Stone Turtle Cafe are available virtually every weekend, as is live music on select weekends. Of course, our nationally-recognized cross country ski trails and specialty retail shop and service center are open seven days a week.
EVENTS
Join us for a taste of the Alps at our signature event, Bavarian Ski Festival, on Saturday, January 21st. Stein-holding contests, Team Ski Time Trials, a costume contest, plus German sausages and beer served by German Dave are not to be missed!

New this year is the Golden Years Ski School, on Wednesday, January 11th. Intended for both beginners and people who have not skied in many years, the Golden Years Ski School is an introduction (or reintroduction) to the sport of cross country skiing for people aged 55+. This
learn-to-ski workshop is tailored to each participant's goals and ability levels, and culminates with a guided ski tour of the XC Ski HQ trail system!

Returning this year is our gourmet, candle-lit, Winter Feast dinner on February 2nd; Paella on January 29th, Ribs & Blues on February 25th; and the 30th Annual Junior Muffin Race on February 26th. Our complete schedule of our events can be found at www.crosscountryski.com/category/events

LEARN TO CROSS COUNTRY SKI
We specialize in teaching people how to truly enjoy cross country skiing. Kick off your ski season with the Jordyn Ross Ski Clinics on December 17th and 18th, featuring skate and classic clinics for novices to advanced skiers. Total beginners are invited to participate in the “Pure Michigan” Winter Trails Day on January 7th. If you’ve been wanting to dip your toes into skate skiing, look no further than our Learn to Skate Ski Clinics on January 22nd and February 12th. Finally, private lessons are available (reserve in advance), and weekly Free Beginner Ski Lessons are every Saturday at 10:30am, snow permitting.
