5th Annual Midwest Nordic Rendezvous offers two options to learn how to coach (or how to coach better), with an additional option to become PSIA Level 1 Certified. All Nordic Coaches are welcome!

Come and learn consistent language, teaching model, and skiing fundamentals through the Professional Ski Instructor of America (PSIA). Improve interpersonal skills for developing a center-based-student-trust relationship. Practice recognizing and assessing the skiing fundamentals. Connect teaching and learning with positive fun outcomes for all skiers. Add more tools to your box of tricks when teaching kids of all ages and skiers of all abilities. Games, drills, and adventure on skis to guide coaches/instructors in progressing all skiers in a safe learning environment.
Option 1 - Coaches who wish to pursue PSIA Level 1

Option 2 – Coaches looking to further their education and learn more tools attend the coaches clinics
All coaches are invited. We particularly want all of our Vasa Ski Club Program Coaches to attend these clinics - they are a fantastic resource for you. In addition, we are opening up these clinics to any VSC member who would like to become a VSC Program Coach. Cost: Donation.

PSIA is an organization with more than 32,000 members. It has developed and established educational materials with common language, skiing fundamentals, and teaching models, which supports positive learning experiences. PSIA has established certification standards and innovative practical resources for members to develop their teaching skills personally and professionally. PSIA is for all snow sports with a theme for life-long adventures through education.
To further your education for positive learning experiences for the skiers you coach/teach. It is a great opportunity to enrich your teaching and technical skills. This clinic will explore the cross country skiing fundamentals with movement analysis through a hybrid model. A collaborative-virtual clinic will take place for two evenings prior to the on snow portion of the clinic. The virtual class will discuss the Learning Connection Model, Teaching, and Technical Model developed by PSIA, as well as provide opportunities for movement analysis. Come and gain access to many resources, educational webinars, and more opportunities through PSIA.
