New provincial lockdown orders will force Hiawatha Highlands Lodge in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to be closed to the public as of December 26th, 2020. This will be for a minimum of 2 weeks to comply with provincial lockdown orders.
Groomers will be allowed to operate and therefore season trail pass holders will be able to access the trails. Trail monitors will continue to be on site.
If you are a season pass holder and you choose to use the trails after December 26th, you must have a print out of your receipt for your trail pass or the email on your phone when you come out to Hiawatha as proof for our trail monitors.
Please note, washroom facilities inside the lodge will NOT be available.
Hiawatha Highlands are working on a plan to offer curbside pick-up for day passes and will post that information to social media as soon as a plan is in place.
Says Hiawatha Highlands, "We thank everyone for their patience and cooperation at this time."
To protect Canadians from the outbreak of COVID-19, the Prime Minister announced travel restrictions that limit travel to Canada. Most foreign nationals (including people from the United States) cannot travel to Canada, even if they have a valid visitor visa or electronic travel authorization (eTA). Travel restrictions were last updated December 12, 2020.
