Forbush Time Trial cancelled due to COVID restrictions

The Forbush Corner Nordic time trials are cancelled due to the state health department’s restriction on organized sporting events that are scheduled through the 8th. It is likely that the state will extend that ban into January. There is a positive side of the coin though. Forbush should have the snow making loop going and we would like to offer reduced trail fees of $10 to Michigan Cup racers on both Saturday December 12th and Sunday December 13th. We can still ski, we just can’t organize it.

Update on the snowmaking loop: We currently have a thin base of snow from the first two rounds of snowmaking that occurred between the big warms up we had. We made some good piles of snow last night with the help of the colder, drier air from Canada. We will be making more again tonight. Larry will be pushing the snow around for the next couple of days (yes, it takes two days to move and flatten those snow piles). I will update everyone later in the week about the grooming progress and a possible opening date.
