Michigan Cup Committee to social distance...

The Michigan Cup Committee meets this coming August 30 to discuss the upcoming 2020-2021 Michigan Cup season. We'll be sitting outside, social distancing, at Hanson Hills. It's a long drive from southeastern Michigan - 6 hours round trip - but it will be great to see fellow skiers in person.

The Committee is composed of the captains of each Michigan Cup team. If you have concerns, questions, or ideas for the Michigan Cup Committee to discuss, please contact your team captain! 

The premlimiary agenda is

1. Covid-19 and Ski Racing
2. Michigan Cup Race Schedule
3. Treasurer's Report
4. Junior Donation
5. Updates on High School Races and Junior Nordic Qualifier

The most pressing issue is the Michigan Cup schedule and what the race formats will be in the Covid-19 era.  Most race venues are taking a wait and see position. 

The "very preliminary" Michigan Cup schedule is below. Please note that there is an open weekend between the Cote Dame Marie and the Noquemanon.  This occurs occasionally and any one wishing to hold a race that weekend should be aware that it goes away regularly, too. Race directors interested in having their race considered for inclusion in the Michigan Cup should contact Ernie Brumbaugh at [email protected].
