Pure fluoro topcoats banned at MI High School Championships

For all High School State Championship Races this coming weekend, including distance races and sprints, the use of pure fluoro powder, liquid or block is prohibited. Maximum of high fluoro waxes only. Low fluoro waxes, cold powders, and hardeners are acceptable. Pure fluoro used in the kick zone is acceptable.

Waxing will be taking place in the groomer barn (large building north east of the lodge) at Hickory Hills. The Hickory Hills staff has been very clear that they do not want any students/skiers in the barn, coaches only. We will set up a ski rack outside for skiers to come pick up their skis. Ruth Oppliger will be there around 9:30 AM on Friday morning.

Looking forward to having everyone in Traverse City soon. Our snow is holding up great and there is some snow in the forecast for Thursday and Friday.
