Forbush Corner will host two fun events on Saturday, December 7.
First, there's Forbush Youth Day from 10am‐2pm. This is a fun day of skate skiing with kids and coaches from clubs across Northern Michigan. Kids will be split into groups and rotate between different coaches to improve skills. The day will finish with a fun team relay.
Forbush has rental equipment available, and a free pizza lunch is being provided by the Vasa Ski Club.
This event is open to middle school to high school age skiers, but proficient younger skiers are also welcome. Show up a little early to get warmed up if it’s your first ski of the year.
Plan to be on skis and ready to split into groups by 10am. Meet by the warming building.
The cost is free, with a $5 suggested donation to Forbush Corner. For Questions contact Sam Holmes at [email protected].
Second, Forbush Corner will be having a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony from 11am-2pm for their new snowmaking system. Come celebrate with free skiing, soups, light appetizers and dessert.
