It was a big weekend for senior Michigan Cup skiers: The Black Mountain 31km Classic and Black Mountain 10km Freestyle were the last two races of the season for skiers to pick up individual Michigan Cup points.

Team NordicSkiRacer's Kyle Hanson came and conquered, winning both the classic and freestyle races. Hanson won the classic in 1:51:48, ahead of second place Denny Paul (1:53:09) and third place Michael Davis (1:59:44). In the freestyle, racing the course nicknamed "The Beast", Hanson won in 35:25. Ryan Harris and Steve Smiegel were second and third in 38:05 and 39:17.
Rebecca Davis (Hanson Hills / Cross Country Ski Shop) and Jordyn Ross (Grand Rapids Nordic Ski Team split the difference. Davis finished first in the 31km classic in 2:08:15. Daniela Gebhart (2:19:05) and Tracy Gravlin (2:26:39) were second and third. In Sunday's freestyle, Ross beat Davis, 40:47 to 43:38. Daniella Gephart finished third in 44:27.
