Wax recommendations for upcoming races!
Swix has FINALLY started providing some waxing recommendations again!
Note that the Noque 50k start time may be delayed. It won't matter...it will still be well below zero whenever the start occurs so wax COLD.

Noquemanon Ski Marathon, Ishpeming to Marquette, MI
Solda Glide Wax
Base: Solda HC28 scraped and brushed. Then apply a layer of Solda S30. Scrape it while it is still warm. Brush with horse hair.
Paraffin: Apply Solda F15 Green. Scrape and brush.
Top Powder: Apply a layer of Solda S30 cold powder. Scrape it while still warm. Let it cool and brush with horse hair. Polish with fine nylon brush.
Note: if it looks to be warmer than 10ºF at the start make the finish coat Solda S20.
Grip Wax:
Start with ironing in your favorite base binder. A good layer of binder will help the kick wax last longer and give better kick. For a race this long don’t try to go too thin.
Then apply several layers of Start Terva Black.
