Mike Seaman Memorial race cancelled, so ski in Mike's honor

The inaugural Mike Seaman Memorial 10k Classic, originally scheduled for Sunday 2/4/18, has been canceled due to low snow conditions. In a statement today from the host venue, Treetops Resort, Devin Kurzhals said, "Unfortunately, Mother Nature has not been kind. We want to do the event right, and the current conditions are not conducive. It saddens me to say that we are cancelling the event this Sunday. We look forward to trying again next year."

In lieu of the event, Team NordicSkiRacer suggests going for a ski in Mike's honor on Sunday. Mike enjoyed a multitude of outdoor sports, so those in areas without snow are encouraged to get outside and run, bike, paddle, or do whatever the weather allows. The Michael Seaman Memorial Race also serves as a fundraiser with $5 of each entry going towards a Scholarship Fund in Michael's name.
