Michael Seaman Memorial Scholarship Fund - ski sale fundraiser

With the sudden and unexpected passing of Mike Seaman on June 27th, the Michigan cross country skiing community lost a dear friend who will be greatly missed. For anyone who knew Mike, they know that he was an avid sportsman, gear-head, and educator. He took a lot of pride in his 27 years teaching at Montcalm Community College, a rural CC in the central Michigan area. Mike’s father, Jim, is in the process of creating the “Michael Seaman Memorial Scholarship Fund” to help provide assistance to students in financial need. To help fund the Scholarship, nearly all of Mike’s sports gear is being offered for purchase/donation. Mike’s older and more used equipment is being donated directly to youth programs.
Having ski raced for years, Mike left behind several high-end sets of skis, boots, bindings and poles. We are hopeful that many skiers will be able to put this equipment to use via a purchase/donation to the Scholarship Fund. For those who remember Mike fondly, you will also be able to ‘have a little piece of Mike’ in your ski quiver.
This is a great opportunity to make a difference in honor of someone who meant a lot to the cross country skiing community.
All the gear listed below is in Good to Excellent Condition (Mike treated his gear with care!). All purchases/donations will be made to “Friends of Mike Seaman” until the Scholarship Fund is legally created in the very near future. 2012 Salomon Equipe 10 Skate Soft Ground Skis. 187cm. Camber/Flex for 150 to 170 lb skier. These skis have a slightly wider and softer tip for softer snow condition. BRAND NEW, still in plastic.

2015 Rossignol Xium WCS S2 NIS Skate Skis. 186cm. Camber/Flex (86kg) for 150 to 175 lb skier. Up until last season, these were Rossignol’s highest end World Cup level skis (and are still Rossgnol’s lightest skis). S2 camber profile for universal conditions. Bases are in Very Good condition.

2012 Fischer RCS Classic Zero NIS Classic Skis. 202cm. Camber/Flex (38kg) for 140 to 165 lb skier. The Zero ski is a ‘quiver’ ski, with its sweet spot within only a few degrees of 32F. But when you have a race in that temp range, these are the skis! Bases are in EXCELLENT CONDITION.
