The 2017 Krazy Klassic Ski Race, day 2 of the Frosty Ski Fest, will be part of the 2017 Michigan Senior Olympics. Any Krazy Klassic participant age 55 and older over will be able to indicate during registration that they would like to be considered an MSO participant. All MSO participants will receive a special medal and bragging rights about being a Michigan Senior Olympian!
The original MSO scheduled called for the cross country ski event to be held in February, the updated schedule shows the correct date, Sunday, January 15, 2017. The move was a joint effort by the Michigan Senior Olympics, Huron Meadows Metropark, and the Frosty Freestyle/Krazy Klassic race organizers (including Epic Racing). The snow-making capabilities at Huron Meadows was a big draw, as is Huron Meadows close proximity to Detroit, Lansing, and Flint.
The Michigan Senior Olympics cross country skiing event will be classic technique only. There will not be a freestyle event associated with the MSO.
