Wax recommendations for this weekend's Michigan Cup cross country ski race, the Noquemanon Ski Marathon.

Pick a ski with a medium flex, a little tip splay and a fine grind.
Base: Start with a layer of Solda HC28 ironed, scraped and brushed.
Paraffin: Solda F15 Green. Two layers of this if you have the time and patience.

Powder: Solda S30 cold powder. Scrape this lightly while it is still warm. Scrape lightly again when the ski is cool. Brush with fine steel and then horsehair.
Base: Start with a layer of Solda HC 28 ironed, scraped and brushed.
Paraffin: Solda F15 Green. Two layers of this if you have the time and patience.
Powder: Solda HP05.
Top: Solda S30 Cold Powder. These last two steps can be combined using Solda HP05/S30 mix.
If there is more new snow than currently forecast or if it is snowing during the race I would go with Solda HP06 and top with S30 Cold Powder.
