It was a long winter that started with cancelled race in December (not enough snow) to the late posting of the final results (the Points Keeper hiking the Continental Divide Trail for charity). After some email snafus, we pulled together the final results for the illustrious 2014-2015 Michigan Cup Race Series Season.
Individual standings can be found in 2014-2015 Michigan Cup Race Series Individual Standings (PDF). And now, an overview of the win teams and individuals...
The Michigan Cup is awarded to the team amassing the most total Michigan Cup points counting all skiers and all races. Cross Country Ski Headquarters repeated as the 2015 Michigan Cup Winner by a massive margin. The race for second place was very tight with Hanson Hills/Cross Country Ski Shop narrowly edging out the Vasa Ski Club by 601 points despite a team victory by the Vasa Ski Club at the Michigan Cup Relays. A new team skied onto the Michigan Cup horizon this year, the University of Michigan, promising to increase young skier participation.

For the second year in a row the Hanson Hills/Cross Country Ski Shop team bested the rest of the Michigan Cup field by a wide margin, testifying to the quality and tenacity of the team’s skiers.
