Hello from Lahti. 28 hours of travel, 30 heavy bags, three busses, three planes, one car and we are here. Lahti is bracing for the weekend. We are in position to do very well.
Newell is Ranked #1 in the world on the FIS list and 5th in the world in World Cup Sprint. Koos is ranked 16th in World Cup sprint. Kikkan Randall is ranked 9th in World Cup sprint. That is 3 US skiers in the Red Group. Freeman is one more good race out of the Red Group in 34th and Chris Cook is also close.
Nothing is new however when it comes to racing. No matter what the conditions, no matter how long the travel or hard the course or soft the snow... someone will win. And that skier can be us.
