XC Ski Headquarters an Outside Magazine "Nordic Mecca"

Outside Magazine named six cross country ski destinations, including Michigan's own Cross Country Ski Headquarters, as "America's Nordic Skiing Meccas". The Headquarters was noted as a great place for beginners to start because of the easier terrain and four on-staff PSIA instructors. The list of "Nordic Skiing Meccas" include:

• Cross-Country Ski Headquarters (Roscommon, Michigan)
• The Birkie Trail (Hayward to Cable, Wisconsin)
• City of Lakes Loppet Ski Festival (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
• Soldier Hollow (Wasatch Mountain State Park, Utah)
• Craftsbury Outdoor Center (Craftsbury Common, Vermont)
• Rendezvous Ski Trails (West Yellowstone, Montana)
