The Department of Natural Resources today announced it will host a public meeting Monday, April 28, to discuss the multiple recreation uses of the Vasa Pathway (in Grand Traverse County) during the winter months. The meeting will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center.
At the meeting, DNR and Traverse Area Recreational Trails staff will provide background information on the Vasa Pathway and then receive public comments regarding the mixed-use recreation experience associated with cross-country skiing and fat-tire biking.
The DNR will close the meeting by explaining the plan and timeline for processing public comments and making decisions about future winter use of the Vasa Pathway.
The Grand Traverse County Civic Center is located at 1213 W. Civic Center Drive, in Traverse City. Questions about the meeting may be directed to DNR recreation specialist Todd Neiss at 231-775-9727, ext. 6045 or [email protected].
