All of Hanson Hills Cross Country Ski trails will be closed to skier traffic the weekend of March 14-16th. The trail system will be open to the use of Fat Bikes, for a fundraising event.
Trails will open to Fat Bikes (Pedal Bikes with 3.7” or wider tires) from 4pm-9pm on Friday March 14th with a $5 charge for trail pass.
Saturday, trails will be open for a Fat Bike Race starting at 10:00am featuring multiple races between 10 and 20 miles in length utilizing a portion of the cross country ski trails, the race will have a unique stadium finish that will allow spectators to view 1-2 minutes of Fat Bike action on a fun flowing BMX/Boardercross Style course that will be designed on the Downhill Ski area. Trails will open back up at 3:30pm for Casual Riding.
Sunday, all trails will be open for Fat Bikes from 11am-5pm with a $5 charge for trail pass. Once again we ask that No Ski Traffic be present during this weekend.
All proceeds from this event will go towards future development of a Fat Bike only Ski Trail at Hanson Hills for the 2014/2015 Season! A big thanks to everyone for a great winter season, and we kindly ask for your support in our efforts in developing more recreational opportunities at Hanson Hills!!
