PSIA Clinic will be held at Hanson Hills Recreation Area in Grayling, MI on January 25 and 26th for one day clinics, Level 1 or Level 2 examinations.
Cross Country Course Descriptions:
Cross_Country - CC 100 - Instructor Training/Workshop
This program is a comprehensive overview of discipline specific techniques from the beginner to the advanced skier. Clinics will provide enhanced skiing, teaching and technical fundamentals for the experienced instructor. This event includes personal skiing improvement with instruction in all cross-country track techniques, teaching strategies, teaching progressions, and risk awareness.
Cross_Country - CC 180 - Cross Country Level 1 Exam
This course is available to Registered Instructors, Basic Instructors and new members at least 16 years of age, having ten or more hours of training or teaching experience verified by a ski school director. This is a two-day clinic for Nordic Track. The Level 1 Certification Clinic is a combination clinic and evaluation. The course leaders will instruct the group on those topics required in the evaluation and evaluate the group on the progress made toward achieving the listed standards
Cross_Country - CC 280 - Cross Country Level 2 Exam
This program tests an instructor’s skiing skills, teaching ability and technical knowledge. The Level 2 exam prep is recommended. Nordic Track Level 2 Exams are two days.
