December's Tour de Ski cancelled

Heads up! Nick Baic has cancelled the Tour de Ski for this season. The race was originally scheduled to be held at the Boyne Valley Lodge in Walloon Lake on December 28 and 29, featuring a 2K Freestyle Hill Climb & Sprint Race on Saturday and a 10K Classic race on Sunday.  The Baic's sold the Boyne Valley Lodge (!) and moved the race to Boyne Mountain. Circumstance forced them to cancel Saturday's event, and now the race is completely cancelled.

I really hope the event returns in 2015 - Nick traditionals holds a well run and really fun event!

Nick wants everyone to know that Boyne Mountain will offer 1/2 price trail passes over the Holiday weekend 12/27, 12/28 for Michigan Cup skiers ($8). Says Nick, "The Innsbrook loop in now a 16 ft wide, 10 K loop. Boyne's big groomer did the whole loop yesterday!"
